How to get to KU
This document contains instructions for getting to the KU via public transportation, and by car from Kathmandu.

KU is located on the East of Kathmandu Valley , Kathmandu, Nepal. The campus is 2 KM (Kilo meter) from major Araniko highway, less than 29 KM from a Kathmandu Valley airport, and is accessible via public transportation.

by bus: The different bus stops at Kathmandu Valley provides transportation to Dhulikhel. Major bus stops for Dhulikhel at Kathmandu are:

Purano bus park (Adwait Marga)

Maitighar

Baneshwore

Koteswore

Ask for the conductor of bus to inform you at Kathmandu University stop.

The walk from Bus stop takes about 8 minutes and takes you right at Kathmandu University

From Kathmandu

by car. The drive from Kathmandu can be quite pleasant. Take the Araniko Highway (commonly known as Chinese road) and follow the signs toward Bhaktapur at Koteshore. Continue on Araniko Highway at Sallaghari. After 10 KM you will reach Sanga. After 4 KM you will reach Banepa. Continue on Araniko Highway for about 2KM you will see signboard of Kathmandu University. Turn right and it takes you right at KU.
