ADMISSION OPEN FOR B.TECH IN BIOTECHNOLOGY PROGRAM 2011

Kathmandu University School of Science announces Admission Open for Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Biotechnology for August 2011.

Eligibility: Candidates should have passed I.Sc. (or 10+2 or equivalent) with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in PCM or PCB. Students who have passed Class 11 and waiting for the Class 12 results can also apply. Applicants with GCSE A-Level must have minimum of 'C’ grade in at least three related A-Level advanced courses.

Online Form Available From July 20, 2011
Last Date for Submission of Completed Application Form: August 8, 2011
Admission Test: August 9, 2011(Tuesday)

Short listed applicants will be called to appear for a personal interview.

Application can be submitted online ONLY, available at http://admission.ku.edu.np/admission/online/.

A payment of the application fee, NRs. 1000 (Non Refundable), should be made at Nepal Investment Bank (A/C 00501030250009), available at Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel. The payment voucher for the payment of the application fee is required for further processing of the Admission Application Form.

Document Verification and Issuance of Admission Test Admit Card commence from July 24, 2011 to August 8, 2011 (10:00 AM to 3:00 PM).

The Applicants are expected to bring along the following documents, while coming to collect the Entrance Admission Card,

1. Copy of Citizenship Certificate
2. Copy of SLC Mark-sheet
3. Copy of SLC Character Certificate
4. Copy of Intermediate Mark-sheet
5. Copy of Intermediate Character Certificate
6. At least 4 Passport-Size Photos

The Applicants are also requested to bring the Original copies of the documents. Entrance admit card is issued ONLY after the verification of the certificates. The payment voucher should also be produced during the verification. Admission Brochure, Admission Test Sample Question and Scholarship Form will also be available.

Financial Aid & Scholarship:
Limited numbers of scholarships/educational loan are available for meritorious and economically weak students. An application for scholarship, along with the necessary documents, should be submitted with the application form. For information on Financial Aid & Scholarship Scheme, Click Here.

This is to notify that the following students have been provisionally selected for M.S. By Research in Biotechnology for the September 2010 session based on the interview conducted by the Research Committee of Kathmandu University School of Science in due course of time.




NOTE:
1. Candidates are hereby asked to fill the university registration form after paying required amount and submitting all photocopies of the testimonials including Original Migration Certificate. Contact Mr. Bharat Kumar Shrestha, Administrative Officer, School of Science (Block 06).

2. Supervisors are asked to submit outline of research proposal and theory courses to be taken by the individual candidates to the Dean's Office as soon as possible.

3. Candidates need to submit their Progress Report every six months with the recommendation of their supervisors.
