hydropower plants and its visualization (HydroVision concept)
• R&D on hydro-plants-based integrated power systems for rural
electrification (Mini-grid concept)
• R&D on cost-effective and reliable hydraulic structures
for hydropower plants (Safe structure concept)
• Storage and pump-stored hydropower plants for internal and trans-boundary
integrated power systems
• R&D on cost-effective turbines and generators for small-scale
hydropower plants (pump as turbines viz., centrifugal pumps, Archimedes’s
screw pumps etc., induction motor as generators, axial-flux permanent
magnet alternator and classical turbines viz., propeller, Francis, cross-flow
and Pelton turbines).
