Inter-Departmental Open Quiz Competition

This is to notify you all that Society of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (SEEE) is about to organize an Inter-Departmental Open Quiz Competition. All are welcomed for the participation, from the freshmen to the final year of any faculty.

Interested participants can register their names by date August 5, 2015. Entry Fee per team is Rs. 60. Two members will form a team. So we request you to register as a team.

Rules:

1.The quiz is a general quiz. There will be five rounds namely: General round, Buzzer round, Multiple Choices round, Audio-Visual round and Rapid-Fire round.

2.Detailed rules and regulations regarding the quiz will be explained at the time of contest.

3.First set of quiz will be the qualifiers and only the winners in a set of five teams will be qualified to the final.

August 7, 2015-Finals

ARDUINO BASED MICROCONTROLLER TRAINING 2014

SEEE is going to organize a six days ARDUINO BASED MICROCONTROLLER TRAINING for the students of Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering from 9th Dec 2014. This training session is intended to help all the students in their regular college project as well as their hobby projects through indepth learning about microcontroller and its applications.

Interested students can participate by registering their names to the SEEE executive members.
Training Syllabus
DAY #1--INTRODUCTION TO ARDUINO

Introduction to Microcontroller

  1. Microcontroller Platforms (AVR Kit, PIC Kit, Raspberry Pie, Arduino, Beagle board)
  2. Introduction to Arduino (background, open-source, website etc.)
  3. Arduino Hardware Details (versions, pin-outs etc.)
  4. Installation of Arduino IDE and drivers
  5. Arduino Programming Structure (basic commands, libraries, use of references etc.)

DAY #2--ARDUINO GETTING STARTED

Digital Output (blink in breadboard)

  1. Digital Input (LED control, de-bounce button)
  2. Analog Output (LED brightness)
  3. Analog Input (potentiometer, LDR)
  4. Serial Communication (LED control, status display)

(Loops, conditional statements, functions, delay etc.)

DAY #3--ARDUINO INDEPTH LEARNING

Interrupt (Internal, external)

  1. EEPROM (read, write, clear data)
  2. I2C Communication

DAY #4-- ARDUINO PERIPHERAL CONTROL

DC motor control (LED implementation)

  1. Servo motor control
  2. Stepper Motor Control
  3. LCD Message display
  4. Wireless Communication

DAY #5--PROJECT DAY

Project assignment

  1. Ideas brainstorming and application methods
  2. Task completion
  3. Result evaluation and discussion

DAY #6--ARDUINO PLUS – WHAT NEXT?

Arduino Shields and applications

    1. Ethernet (webserver data output)
    2. SD (data logging)
  1. Arduino to breadboard (stand-alone)
  2. Arduino as ISP (bootloader)
Note: Training Kit will be provided to each team of two participants for the session.

RESULTS OF INTER-DEPARTMENTAL QUIZ COMPITITION 2014

The following are the winners of the SEEE INTER-DEPARTMENTAL QUIZ COMPITITION 2014 held on 11th and 12th June . Among the nine participating teams in the compitition two teams were able to grab the winner and 1st runner-up prize. The following are the names of the students:

  • First set of quiz will be the qualifiers and only the winners in a set of five teams will be qualified to the final.

CIRCUIT COMPETITION 2014

Date of Issue: 15 May 2014

It is to notify all the SEEE members of the 1st year (Batch 2013) that a circuit competition is going to be organized on May 20, Tuesday 2014. All the intrested members can participate in the competition. The following criteria is required for the participation:
  • Each group shall consist of 2 participants. The participants can choose thier own partner for the competition.
  • The circuit details will be provided to the groups and the one which can complete the hardware in time will be declared the winner.
  • The entry fee is Rs:50 per group and the winners will be provided with the certificates.
  • The intrested members can register their names by 20th May morning time by submiting the names to their respective SEEE class representative.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

1. You cannot ask any help to assemble circuit from any other participants or the organizers.

2.You have to assemble circuit as per the instructions provided.

3. Any replacement of components and instruments (in case of not operational) should be done within 10 minutes from starting time.

4. If any components are damaged intentionally or unintentionally during the competition, are not replaceable.

5. You have 30 minutes to complete your circuit, one to finish first with required result will be the winner.

6. If two teams come up with the required result at the same time, one with the closest result will be the winner.

7.The circuit should be neat and clear to understand for debugging.

8.Any questionnaires relating to the solution of the given problem will be solved afterwards.
