How to update Microsoft Software Update Service(SUS)-ISMS

1.         Download two files (Auto_Update.reg and WindowUpdate.reg) from ftp side.




2.         Double click Auto Update.reg and proceed as follow


3.         Double click WindowsUpdate.reg and proceed as follow


4.         To check whether patch update working properly or not
 For Windows 2000 open file C:\winnt\Windows Udate.log with notepad.
 For Windows Server 2003 / Windows XP open file
 C:\windows\Windows Udate.log with notepad.
Following instructions are show how to check patch update (in windows 2000). Select Windows Update file.
5.  Double click WindowsUpdate file and select Notepad program to use to open WindowsUpdate.log file  then click ok button
6.         The log file shows update start, end, destination side and success.
