STUDENT SERVICES: STUDENT LIFE

Students Hostel

Kathmandu University School of Law does not have hostels or student accommodation. There is no plan in this regard in the near future.

Housing Resources & Roommate Matching

While KUSL does not provide housing, the Admissions Office does offer advise to help admitted students find suitable accommodations around Dhulikhel. Many KUSL students live in Kathmandu valley, while others reside in the surrounding communities.

The Admissions staff is available to answer specific questions about your housing search and the unique character of the diverse neighborhoods surrounding the law school.

KUSL offers an informal Roommate Matching Service for new students. Those interested in roommate matching may complete a Roommate Matching Form (PDF) provided by KUSL and return it to the Admissions Office. The completed forms are then circulated among other new students who are interested in finding a KUSL Law roommate.

Canteen

KU students at Central Campus operate their hostel mess on cooperative basis.

The KU fast food offers a variety of local and continental dishes including Indian and Chinese. In addition, it serves tea, coffee, pastry and cold drinks. Further, it has both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements.

Student Welfare Council (SWC)

In each school of KU, a Student Welfare Council (SWC), headed by a President, is constituted through individual class representation. Each SWC is responsible for implementing and coordinating all the student activities in the respective schools. SWCs also coordinate among each other and implement inter-school student activities.

KUSL Student Welfare Council will be formed on the fourth year of the current BBM,LL.B Programme.

Student Clubs

Various student clubs are formed in the university to facilitate different activities. These clubs operate under the umbrella of SWC. These clubs are both general and academic in nature and work in university or school or department level. Each club is facilitated by a teacher coordinator.
