BIO-BASED & GREEN ENERGY LABORATORY

Welcome

Welcome to the bio-based energy laboratory at Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel, Nepal. As concerns about rising fossil fuel prices, energy security, indoor air pollution, and climate change increases, renewable energy can play a key role in producing local, clean and inexhaustible energy to supply growing demand for cooking fuels, electricity, heat and transportation fuels. The bio-based energy sources could be one of the major renewable energy sources to meet demand for access to clean, safe and sustainable domestic energy services for over two billion people who lack these services. It may also serve to meet demand for electricity and transportation fuels.
