Dr. Pyakurel Presented in an International Conference

editorial | 15 December, 2017 17:59

Dr. Uddhab Pyakurel, Assistant Professor in School of Arts, presented a paper in the International Conference on "Changing Dynamics in SAARC: Challenges and Opportunities in the Region," organized by the Department of Political Science, Ratnan College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Mumbai, from 8 to 9 December 2017.

In his paper Dr. Pyakurel argued that while SAARC was formed, there was no unanimous view about the regional initiative as all, including India and Pakistan, had agreed for the forum only for strategic reasons. He also suggested that there was nothing much to expect from SAARC in comparison to the European Union and other functioning regional initiatives.
