अध्ययन ऋण को लागि आवेदन सम्बन्धि सूचना

 

काठमाडौं विश्वविध्यालयको अध्ययन ऋण सम्बन्धि निर्देशिकामा रहेको प्रावधान अनुरुप हाल स्नातक (Undergraduate) तहको दोश्रो, तेस्रो अथवा चौथो बर्षमा अध्ययनरत बिध्यार्थीहरु मध्ये निम्न मापदण्ड  पुरा गरेका बिध्यार्थी लाई आफ्नो संबन्धित विभागमा रितपुर्वक संलग्न आवेदन फारम भरि अध्ययन ऋण को लागि आवेदन दिन यो सूचना प्रकाशित गरिएको छ |

अध्ययन ऋण को लागि मापदण्ड  

क)      प्राकृतिक विपत्ती, भवितव्य वा आकस्मिक दुर्घटनाका कारणबाट बिध्यार्थीले तत्काल शिक्षण शुल्क बुझाउन असमर्थ भएको हुनु पर्नेछ |

ख)     ऋण पाउने बिध्यार्थी विश्वविध्यालयमा अण्डरग्राजुएट तहको दोश्रो, तेस्रो अथवा चौथो बर्षमा अध्ययनरत रहेको हुनुपर्ने छ |

ग)      प्रथम बर्षको शैक्षिक नतिजा राम्रो भएको हुनुपर्नेछ |

 

अध्ययन ऋण को सिमा

 

  • क)     बाँकि रहेको शिक्षण शुल्कको १००%
  • ख)     बाँकि रहेको शिक्षण शुल्कको ७५%
  • ग)      बाँकि रहेको शिक्षण शुल्कको ५०%
  • घ)      बाँकि रहेको शिक्षण शुल्कको २५%

 

  

पुनश्च:

 

  • क)      अध्ययन ऋण को लागि  मापदण्डहरु पुरा गरेका बिध्यार्थीले कुनैपनि बेला आवेदन दिन सक्ने छ |
  • ख)     अध्ययन ऋण सम्बन्धि निर्णय विश्वविध्यालयको अध्ययन ऋण ब्यवस्थापन समिति ले गर्ने छ |
  • ग)      अध्ययन ऋण प्राप्त गर्ने बिध्यार्थीले निर्देशिकाको अनुसूची-२ (संलग्न) बमोजिमको सम्झौता गर्नु पर्ने छ |
  • घ)      अध्ययन ऋण प्राप्त गर्ने बिध्यार्थीले निर्देशिकामा उल्लेखित सो संबन्धि शर्तहरु पालना गर्नुपर्ने छ |

Dr. Biraj Singh Thapa, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering represented Kathmandu University in the “Nepal Power Investment Summit 2018”, organized by Energy Development Council, from 27-29 January at Soaltee Crowne Plaza, Kathmandu, as a guest speaker.

Dr. Thapa delivered a presentation on “Development of Francis Turbine at Kathmandu University to initiate a new business in Hydropower market under Himalayan Basins” in the event.

This is to notify students enrolled in Master Programs of Department of Environmental Science and Engineering (DESE), School of Science in 2017/18 academic session that needy and meritorious students may apply for financial support under UGC Formula Based Funding (FBF) Scheme by duly filling the application form and submitting required documents.

 

Application submission deadline is 12 February 2017.

 

Selected applicants will be recommended for FBF scholarship to UGC. Scholarship will be confirmed only after approval of UGC and fund transfer from UGC to KU for the purpose.

Job Responsibilities of Tissue Culturist:

·         Micro-propagation of Plant.

·         Data collection and comparative growth analysis.

·         Green house work.

·         Data collection and Interpretation.

·         Report preparation.

 

Job Requirement:

·         Bachelor’s degree preferably masters from a recognized university (preferred area: Science (Biotechnology, Botany, Environmental Sciences)

·         Ability to use computer programs (word, excel, database) and typing in English and Nepali

·         Good command in English and Nepali ( both Written and spoken)

·         Experience in secretarial functions.

·         Demonstrated ability to work independently.

·         Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Dr. Pandey published in Journal of Intercultural Ethnopharmacology

Dr. Bishnu Prasad Pandey, Assistant Professor at Department of Chemical Science and Engineering, and his research scholars Rupak Thapa and Anil Upreti got an article entitled, Chemical profiling and biological activity analysis of cone, bark and needle of Pinus roxburghii collected from Nepal,”  published in Journal of Intercultural Ethnopharmacology, a peer-reviewed international journal.

 

The research article studies the biological activities of cone, bark and needle, of Pinus roxburghii and its chemical constituents.

 

The article can be cited as:

KUSOM Signed Internship Agreement with TEPC

Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM) signed an Internship Agreement  with Trade and Export Promotion Center (TEPC)  According to this Agreement,  KUSOM students will be working on the areas of export and trade promotion activities, product development, trade information, database management, and trade facilitation among others.

Mr. Suyash Khanal, Deputy Executive Director and Prof. Bijay KC were the signatories of the Agreement. The signing took place in a ceremony attended by Prof. Dr. Ram Kantha Makaju Shrestha, Vice Chancellor, Kathmandu University; Mr. Sharad Rana, Executive Director, TEPC; Deans from the School of Arts, Education and Science, KUSOM faculties, and TEPC representatives.

Prof. Bijay KC, Dean of KUSOM, in his welcome note shared the need for business schools to work in partnership with corporates and government organizations  to provide the much needed learning opportunities for students. Mr Sharad Rana, Executive Director, TEPC, highlighted the need for internship for hands on knowledge and experience to management graduates.  The Vice Chancellor suggested that internship is a way to connect with the community. He stressed upon the fact that such activities were in line with the quality initiatives of the University.

Dr. Adhikari and His Team Got a Paper Published

The title of the paper is 'Characterization and Quantification of Municipal Solid Waste in Jeetpur Simara Sub- Metropolitan City, Nepal'.

MoU signed between Kathmandu University-School of Engineering and Chilime Engineering and Services Company Ltd.

Kathmandu University-School of Engineering and Chilime Engineering and Services Company Ltd. (ChesCo) signed an MoU on 18th January, 2018. In the agreement signing program, ChesCo was represented by the CEO of this company, Dr. Prashant Mandal and KU-SOE, by the Dean, Prof. Bhupendra Bimal Chhetri. The program was attended by the representatives from Department of Mechanical Engineering, Turbine Testing Lab and Technical Training Center.

The MoU is aimed towards collaboration for services related to electro-mechanical and hydro-mechanical issues of hydro power sector.

The post MoU discussion focused on planning of activities under the scope of the MoU. It is agreed to conduct an interaction program between work groups representing both institutions, identity and execute a pilot project on repair and maintenance of a hydro power plant in Nepal, and develop relevant training packages. Both intuitions agreed to carry a long term vision to develop a consulting unit to provide professional services on operation and maintenance of hydro power sector.
