Application Call for Paid Internship (Part- time basis)


Turbine Testing Lab (TTL), School of Engineering, Kathmandu University invites application from interested candidate for “Paid Internship” for administrative activities at TTL.


Major Responsibilities: to assist day-to-day administrative works, to look after account/ finance and keep updates on budget and expenditure of the various projects in the lab.


Eligibility: Candidate should be current student in Bachelor of Business Information System (BBIS) in second or third year at Kathmandu University and should have some knowledge on accounting and information management.

Application with a cover letter stating the motivation for the desired position, complete curriculum vitae, copies of academic certificates, letter of recommendation from Head of Department, and University ID should be submitted to the Faculty In-Charge by email (with a single pdf file) to ttl@ku.edu.np or by person to TTL office no later than five days from the notice of publication of this announcement.


Short listed applicants will be called to appear for an interview for final selection.

Salary as per the rules of KU- Directorate of Research, Development and Consultancy.

Female candidates are encouraged to apply.

Selected candidates are expected to join duty immediately.

POS-WASH Project and Short Action Program

The POS-WASH Project at School of Engineering, Kathmandu University that is being funded by EAWAG and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation invites application from dynamic and qualified candidates willing to work in the “The Program of Open Studies in Sanitation, Water and Solid Waste Development (POS-WASH) and Short Action Program in Non - Sewered Sanitation” for the following position on a fixed term contract basis:

Research Associate

Starting: May 20, 2018

Ending: November 30, 2018 (6 months)



The candidates should have completed Masters Degree with background preferably in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science or Civil or Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration.

Roles and Responsibilities:

·      Manage the project activities with supervision from the Principal Investigator.

·      Coordinate to complete the courses in POS-WASH and FSM Online

·      Facilitate municipal training programs and Innovative research activity by students.


The employee will be paid as per rules and regulation of Kathmandu University.
