Mr. Brajesh Mishra, Assistant Professor at Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (DoEEE), and Mr. Pramesh Gautam and Mr. Prawal Lohani, Undergraduate students at DoEEE, presented their research paper entitled “Peak to Average Power Ratio Reduction in OFDM System Using Amplitude Clipping” in IEEE TENCON 2016 held at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, from November 22 to November 25, 2016.

This research presents an analysis and effects of nonlinear distortion of baseband signal, when the signal passes through

Solid State Power Amplifier. The paper also explores the reduction technique of Peak to Average Power Ratio based on

amplitude clipping method in a multicarrier modulation system.

IEEE TENCON 2016 was  organized on the occasion of  the 50th anniversary of IEEE Region 10. In this conference 510

papers were  selected for presentation and participants from more than 15 countries presented their research papers. From Nepal only one research paper was selected. Mr. Gautam presented this paper on November 24.
