Vacancy Announcement for Technician

 

Turbine Testing Lab at Kathmandu University is a one-of-a-kind laboratory facility established with a vision of aiding hydropower development in Nepal through research, testing and simulation, validation and other technical support. TTL is undertaking various funded projects from Energize Nepal (ENEP), UGC, Sedipass project and others. The projects aim in enhancing the capability of TTL to serve as a centre for sustainable development of hydropower in Nepal and in the region.

Application from qualified, hardworking and result oriented professionals is hereby invited for the following position.

Position: Lab Technician (full time)

 

Major Responsibilities:

 

  •          Carry out necessary installation and maintenance works in the lab.
  •          Facilitate during the fabrication of model runners and performance testing of models in the test rig.
  •          Conduct the Fluid Mechanics & Hydraulic Machines laboratory for undergraduate students.
  •          Maintain the store and relevant records in the lab.
  •          Day to day activities in the lab.

 

Minimum qualification and experiences: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Candidates with experience on hydropower sector will be an added advantage.
