Kathmandu University has established Turbine Test Laboratory, which is aimed to contribute for the development of turbines best suited for Nepal. This facility will be utilized for high level academic research and training.

The laboratory will run in business model as per direction of Operation Management Committee with representative from industry and other academic institute in the country. The Executive Council of Kathmandu University appoints members this committee.

A Faculty-in-charge will serve as secretary of the committee. As a manager of the lab faculty-in-charge will be main responsible for planning and operation of the lab in sustainable manner. The Faculty-in-charge should be full time available in the lab and should have contribution to academic for teaching at least 1 course every semester and supervising projects that is relevant to TTL.

Expression of interest is invited from the faculties of KU to serve as Faculty-in-charge of the Turbine Testing Lab. The selection will be based on qualification, experience, competence and commitment.

EOI can be submitted within 2 pages in essay form by 9th March 2012 to the Dean’s office, School of Engineering. Also enclose the updated CV along with EOI.
