“Building Nepal’s Institutional Capacity - Higher Education Administrator Workshop” Held on November 19, 2019

A workshop titled “Building Nepal’s Institutional Capacity – Higher Education Administrator Workshop” was held at Kathmandu University on November 19, 2019.

Former Vice Chancellor of Kathmandu University Prof. Dr. Suresh Raj Sharma, and U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Chief Mr. Paul S. Thomas inaugurated the workshop.

The primary objective of the workshop was to increase Nepal’s contribution in the fields of Agriculture & Rural Development, Alternative & Renewable Energy, and Health-Related Livelihood, by building and strengthening Nepalese academic/research institutions’ capacities to host U.S. researchers, independently develop proposals, and effectively executive programs in those fields.

Representatives from U.S. educational institutions (mainly, Michigan State University, the University of Washington, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the University of Colorado), and from over twenty Nepali governmental, and non-governmental agencies and institutions participated in the workshop.
