Plasma Physics Laboratory

Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPL) at the Department of Physics, School of Science, Kathmandu University was established in 2005. The main areas of research carried out in the laboratory are: Plasma diagnostics & applications, Plasma Surface modification of polymers, Ozone generation and application, Deposition of thin films, Synthesis and characterization of novel materials and Surface characterization of solids by contact angle measurement. As of 2019, 3 Ph.D., 7 M. Phil and several M.Sc. and B. Sc students have been trained in the laboratory. The laboratory has also received national and international research grants for conducting research in the field Plasma Physics and Material Science.
